Residential Epoxy Flooring Cape Town
Seamless, easy to clean epoxy floors for Cape Town homes. From patios and laundries to home gyms, studios and entertainment areas, finished properly and built to last.
Residential Epoxy
Modern, Seamless Floors Without Grout Lines
Epoxy is no longer just for factories. More Cape Town homeowners are choosing residential epoxy flooring for its clean, modern look and because it is so easy to live with. There are no grout lines to trap dirt, spills wipe straight off and the surface resists water, stains and wear.
Qualispray installs epoxy floors inside and around the home, over existing concrete and screeds. We check moisture levels, repair the substrate and grind it before coating, so the floor bonds properly and looks good for years. For garages specifically, see our dedicated epoxy garage floors page.

Where It Works
Epoxy Floors for Every Room That Works Hard
Residential epoxy suits any area of the home with a sound concrete or screed base. These are the spaces Cape Town homeowners most often ask us to coat.
Patios and Entertainment Areas
Covered patios, braai areas and entertainment rooms get a seamless, easy to hose down floor. For areas that get direct sun we finish with a UV-stable topcoat that resists yellowing.
Laundries and Scullery Areas
Water, detergents and constant traffic are no problem for epoxy. A sealed, seamless floor in the laundry or scullery is hygienic and quick to mop.
Home Gyms and Workshops
Dropped weights, tools and equipment are hard on concrete. A thicker epoxy build with an anti-slip finish gives home gyms and workshops a tough, safe surface.
Studios, Flatlets and Outbuildings
Converting an outbuilding, studio or flatlet? Epoxy is a quick way to turn a plain concrete floor into a finished, modern surface without the cost and joints of tiling.
Pricing
What Affects the Cost of Residential Epoxy Flooring?
The price of a residential epoxy floor depends on the area, the condition of the existing slab or screed, and the finish you choose. Floors with cracks, old tile adhesive or damp need more preparation, and decorative finishes use extra layers.
We assess every floor on site and give you a fixed, itemised quote with the system clearly specified. Planning a bigger project? Our main epoxy flooring Cape Town page covers every system we install.
Epoxy vs Tiles at Home

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Epoxy works well in living areas, laundries, studios, home gyms and patios, provided the concrete or screed underneath is sound and not affected by rising damp.
It is often competitive with good quality tiling, especially where the existing concrete only needs grinding and minor repairs. We give you a fixed, itemised quote after a free assessment.
Standard epoxy can yellow in direct sun, so for exposed patios and outdoor areas we finish with a UV-stable topcoat. Covered patios are ideal for epoxy.
In some cases, if the tiles are well bonded and the surface is properly prepared. Often it is better to remove the tiles and coat the screed. We advise after inspecting the floor.
A properly prepared, correctly specified epoxy floor lasts many years in a home. Most wear shows on the topcoat, which can be refreshed without redoing the whole floor.
Once fully cured, epoxy is inert and easy to keep clean. We add anti-slip texture where needed for wet areas.
Most residential areas are ready for light foot traffic within one to two days and full use within about a week, depending on the system.
